Due to COVID, we are currently only renting to families that have been in quarantine together. Booking reminder: there is a 2 night minimum stay. Thank you for respecting our requests.

Though small on the outside, it’s surprisingly spacious on the inside and includes Wifi, a Smart TV, washer/dryer, coffee/tea and a fully equipped kitchen. Free parking on premises. We are within walking distance to Snow Summit or its overflow parking and just minutes from downtown Big Bear and shopping centers.

This unique geodesic dome was lovingly hand built starting in the 80’s and finished in the 90’s. Besides having two bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs, the second level great room is 30 feet in diameter and boasts a 15 feet high dome ceiling with amazing skylights.

The kitchen is fully equipped and the eating area and counter spaces are set up to perform double duty as work spaces. There is always coffee and tea!

The living room area includes a Smart TV with a sectional couch and a game corner with a fun group of furry friends just waiting for someone to play with. The fireplace (there's plenty of wood) is a nice and cozy spot to snuggle up to on chilly evenings.

Downstairs, the master bedroom has a comfy queen bed, en suite bathroom and sliding glass door access to the backyard sitting area for enjoying your morning cup of coffee in the sunshine! The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a full mattress on the bottom and a twin mattress on the top. Great for the kids! Both bathrooms are equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is also a large washer/dryer in the main hallway downstairs.

Guests can access the entire home and driveway during their stay. There is more than enough room to hold two cars. Two cars is the limit for this household, please. Overnight parking on the street is not allowed.

We like to give our guests privacy while they're visiting. We can always be contacted as we're only a phone call away. All of our numbers are located in the house on information sheets. Or you can contact us through Airbnb. We try our very best to respond within the hour. We've got you covered!

We are in close proximity to just about everything you’ll need. We are centrally located just minutes from the bases of Summit Mountain and Bear Mountain, where you can enjoy snow in the winter and hiking and biking in the summer. Not far away is The Village, where you'll find some of the best food from BBQ to Himalayan, live music, ice cream and homemade candy, people watching, and gift buying around.

We are a short walk from a lakeside public park which features tennis and basketball courts. Also nearby is a chainsaw wood carving business where they make most of the beautiful wooden bears, eagles and furniture that adorn many of the yards in Big Bear. Also within walking distance is our local Vons, Stater Bros., Starbucks, and other stores for your shopping needs.

Although close to everything Big Bear, the DomeHome is tucked into a very quiet neighborhood. It is not a party house, as we respect our neighbors and our neighborhood. A couple of policies from the City of Big Bear Lake's Good Neighbor Policy are no noise between the hours of 10PM and 7AM, no street parking (2 cars only in the driveway), a maximum 5 people only and please take your trash to the Clean Bear Dumpsters when you leave (to prevent a nasty clean up when the bears come visiting!)

You can literally park your and walk to everything. If you're a skier, the overflow parking to Summit and Bear Mountain is a 2 minute drive around the corner. Park there and let the free shuttle take you to Summit and also the transfer shuttle to Bear Mountain. There is also public transportation, Uber, and a local cab company.

From the City of Big Bear to all guests:
As we begin to reopen our city and its facilities, we ask that ALL vacation rental guests purchase their food from their home community and bring it with them on their stay. Please help us conserve the items that our residents use on a daily basis as we begin to get back on our feet. We encourage you to order take-out or delivery from our wonderful local restaurants who are eager to serve you. Face coverings should be worn when interacting with restaurant staff and we do practice social distancing.

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $50.00 cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges (less $50.00 cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
